As the CEO of 3Ci, my responsibility is to maintain the company's relationships with its primary vendors, partners and clients. Working with Mike FitzGibbon and the rest of our team, I help create the billing and production applications we take to market. Since I have extensive telecommunications and direct marketing experience, I have been able to focus our resources and develop products we believe give us a "first mover" advantage in the United States. I've been married to my wife Michelle for almost fifteen years. We have two daughters, Annie, who is six years old, and Emily who recently turned twelve.
As chairman my focus is the strategic positioning of the company and providing high altitude "air coverage" and consultation to our talented executive team. My professional background includes 35 years of experience in all facets of media, advertising, event and concert promotion, management, ownership, and consulting to hundreds of radio stations worldwide, including the legendary Miami top 40 radio station, Y100. My experience as a media executive along with recently acquired knowledge of the mobile ecosystem brings 3Ci a unique perspective, and ability to relate to brands, which are adopting SMS as the new media of choice. My role as Chairman includes the creation of an all star advisory board consisting of a diverse group of top banking, media, sports and business executives chartered to help guide the company and its management team through the rapidly changing and dynamic world of wireless. I am an avid fan of extreme sports, and spending time in Aspen, Colorado with my wife Valerie, step-daughter Nicole, son John Paul and new addition, Hartlynn, our 1st granddaughter.
What's a good product without customers? As the sales leader of 3Cinteractive, my passion is hiring and developing the teams of people that represent our company in the market place to support our clients and consumers. I spent the first part of my career at MCI Communications where I was responsible for enterprise sales. At MCI, I was responsible for a team of sales, service and technical personnel and managed annual revenues of $40 million. My primary responsibility at 3Cinteractive is executing on our market strategies, managing core partner/vendor relationships, and generating profitable revenues.
I'm Mark Smith, the COO of 3Ci and the person responsible for our day to day operations. I have extensive operational and marketing background in both the telecommunications and the online processing industry. Prior to joining 3Ci, I served as Vice President of Sales and Operations for Intercept Payment Solutions. I was responsible for managing over 250 employees, approximately 5,000 clients and generated annual revenues of more than $400M. I live in Coral Springs with my wife Debbie and our two children.
Driving profitable sales is a priority for any organization. My responsibility is to drive sales by capitalizing on the right opportunities with new and existing customers. I gained valuable skills and experience through my 5 year career at MCI Communications working with new and existing enterprise customers and managing an enterprise sales team responsible for growing $30 million in annual revenue. During my tenure I was responsible for MCI Communication's largest pay per call customer, so my background not only includes telecommunications management but consumer billed services as well.
As Creative Director of 3Ci, I am responsible for establishing and extending brand identity, initiating cutting-edge product development and communicating the 3Ci message to the masses. My extensive experience in telecommunications sales and content distribution has collided with my passion for writing and creative design - propelling me into the epicenter of the world's fastest growing, most exciting industry...mobile. Now I am here to help take 3Ci's mobile interactivity to new places. Places where "doers" execute on the ideas of "dreamers".
Every business needs the right partners to maximize its potential. My primary job is developing the strategic sales, vendor, and partner relationships that help 3Cinteracitve to execute its business plan. My strengths are developing new business opportunities. I spent the last five years of my career in various sales positions at Verizon. I started in Verizon's corporate accounts organization, holding various account management positions and was transferred to Canada where I helped to build their wholesale organization.
In a dynamic company like ours, I am responsible for insuring that any technologies we employ meet the needs of our clients and are delivered in a world-class manner. I am a Certified Project Manager and have operational experience in automotive manufacturing, telecommunications, credit card processing and SMS transaction processing. That being said, I'm not your average technologist! I also have a unique background as an Olympic Athlete. My seventeen year career as an elite wrestler has given me a proactive, results oriented mind set which I draw from on a daily basis.
