Florida Atlantic University Goes Interactive at the Freaker’s Ball and Homecoming with 3Ci’s Shoutbox™

As part of this year’s homecoming festivities, Florida Atlantic University (FAU), the first public university in southeast Florida and the first university in the nation to offer only upper-division and graduate level courses, is using 3Cinteractive’s Shoutbox™ text-2-screen in-venue application.

Shoutbox will be featured at the Annual Freaker’s Ball Concert, held at the Carole & Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium. The show is co-headlined by Pitbull and Fabolous and tickets are still available for the 8:00 PM concert on October 23rd. The show is for ages 16 and up. Student tickets are one per Owl Card, valid at the box office only.

Shoutbox will also make an appearance at the 2009 Homecoming Comedy Show, presented by the Program Board and the Homecoming Committee. The comedy show features Pablo Francisco with Kevin Hart and Christian Finnegan.

The show will be held at 8:00 PM on October 29th at the Carole & Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium. The show is for ages 16 and older and tickets are available — student tickets are one per Owl Card, valid at the box office only.

3Cinteractive was pleased to offer the Shoutbox application to FAU as part of our November Promotion. The not-for-profit promotion gave FAU a $2,500 savings on bringing our interactive, text-to-screen solution to the Freaker’s Ball and the Homecoming Comedy Show.

Redline Media Group has chosen 3Cinteractive to be its exclusive mobile marketing partner.  The first project for 3Ci and Redline will be to bring SMS interactivity to Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Properties.

Redline Media Group CEO, Cima Georgevich, a proponent of cutting edge technology, will use  3Ci’s Switchblade™ mobile messaging platform to deploy several SMS concierge applications, including a “meet-n-greet” solution for visitors at airports in Seminole Hard Rock live venue cities.  Most notably 3Ci’s houtbox™, an in-venue text-to-screen application, will bring live interactivity to all Seminole Hard Rock Live shows and events.

service” team. We are proud that Redline has chosen 3Ci to help get in front of its competitors by

3Ci Rocks Winter X Games XII

ESPN selected the 3Cinteractive Switchblade™ mobile text messaging platform and in-venue, text to screen application, Shoutbox™ to rock the Winter X Games “go big” event this past weekend in Aspen, Colorado.

On Saturday night, ESPN, EXPN.com, and ABC televised the Snowboard Big Air contest. The debut of 3Ci’s Shoutbox™ text-voting capabilities extended audience participation by empowering the viewer to help judge the outcome of the events. The judging was done in an “American Idol” format with the decision of a presiding judge supplemented by the fans’ votes.  

3Ci President Mike FitzGibbon attended the games and was thrilled with the response. “Everywhere you looked people were texting, proving the direct response SMS generates. I’m excited about the future of text messaging as an efficient advertising avail reaching 250 million Americans on a device they carry in their pockets.”
