Chris Howard


Chris is Managing Partner at Waterfront Capital, Inc. (“WCI”). WCI provides merger and acquisition advisory services to small and middle-market businesses. Senior WCI professionals have originated, structured and executed more than $2.5 billion in financial and strategic transactions, including over $350 million in the last 24 months. Recent clients have included Goldman Sachs’ Special Situations Group and Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors.

Prior to founding Waterfront Capital, Chris was with a San Francisco-based investment bank specializing in mergers and acquisitions and private debt and equity financing. Previously, he worked two years with Crescent Capital, a Los Angeles-based investment firm with over $2 billion under management, and two years with Maiden Lane Associates, a $100 million leveraged buyout fund located in Beverly Hills.

In 2015, Chris acquired American Data Guard, LLC, a certified document and media destruction company based in Seattle and Yakima, WA.

In 1998, Chris acquired Record Masters of Southern Oregon, LLC, a records management company headquartered in Medford, Oregon, which he restructured, grew and sold in 2011, generating a 78x return on equity.

Chris holds an M.B.A. from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
